How to size yourself for a tennis braclet
Not sure what length Tennis bracelet is right for you? No worries - we have you covered!
Our Tennis bracelets are measured in inches and are offered in sizes: 6in, 6.25in, 6.50in and 7in. To properly measure your wrist, we recommend using a soft measuring tape tied snug around your wrist. If you do not have a soft measuring tape, you can wrap a piece of string or paper around your wrist and then lay it down alongside a ruler to find your measurement. If you want a tighter fit, add 0.25 inches to your true, snug wrist measurement. If you want a looser fit, add 0.50 inches to that measurement.
Example:
If your wrist measurement is a tight 6 inches, we recommend ordering a size 6.25in for a snug fit or a size 6.50in for a looser fit.
If your bracelet does not fit the way you would like it, it can be returned for store credit that can be used towards the next best size.

How to Size Yourself for a Tennis Necklace:
There is no “standard” size for a Tennis necklace. Although it is typically purchased in sizes 15in, 16in, or 17in, depending on a person’s neck, each size may rest differently on different body types. For example, if you purchase a 16in tennis necklace and notice that it is flipping, this is most likely because it is either too short or too long on you.
To find the size that is best for you, we recommend wrapping a piece of string around your neck to fall where you would like the tennis necklace to lay, making sure that it lays in an oval shape that closely mimics that of a tennis necklace. From there, lay it down along a ruler to find your measurement.
If your necklace does not fit the way you would like it, it can be returned for store credit that can be used towards the next best size.

Tennis necklaces are perfect for layering or for making a statement on their own! You can mix different styles, like combining a classic tennis necklace with a more modern or minimalist design. If you want a bold look, start with a choker and then layer your tennis necklaces beneath it. For a formal event, you might stick with a classic, uniform look. For a casual outing, feel free to mix in different styles or add a pendant. Try different combinations in front of a mirror until you find the look that feels right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Tennis jewelry, particularly the term "tennis bracelet," is believed to have originated from a famous incident involving professional tennis player Chris Evert during the 1987 U.S. Open. During a match, Evert's diamond bracelet, designed with a continuous line of diamonds, fell off her wrist. She requested a pause in the match to search for and retrieve the bracelet. This incident brought widespread attention to this style of jewelry, which then became popularly known as a "tennis bracelet." The name stuck and extended to similar styles of jewelry, such as tennis necklaces, featuring a continuous line of gemstones.
Tennis jewelry pieces are made with a consistent row of diamonds or gemstones, creating a sleek and streamlined appearance. The stones are often set in prong settings, which allow maximum light to pass through and enhance their brilliance.
The SG Tennis collection prioritizes sparkle, comfort, and wearability. Stephanie herself wears a tennis necklace morning, noon, and night! Our minimal metal allows for maximum sparkle, while still keeping the stones safe and secure.
We prioritize a beautiful white color for the stones, while finding value, by using G-H (near colorless) stones. We hand select the cleanest SI-clarity, focusing on eye-clean natural diamonds.
The ideal carat weight for a tennis bracelet for everyday wear depends on your personal style, budget, and intended use. Our most popular sizes are 3ct - 5ct. A tennis bracelet in these sizes provides a refined look that is perfect for everyday but can also be suitable for formal occasions.
The way a tennis bracelet sits on your wrist is a personal preference. Typically, it is worn slightly looser to allow it to dangle off the wrist a bit, but not long enough that it will catch on things.
We typically recommend white gold, as it is the most classic choice, and will enhance the whiteness and brightness of the diamonds. However many people choose to match the metal color of their other jewelry.
If your tennis necklace is flipping, it is most likely the wrong length for you. It is also important to make sure you are clasping the tennis necklace with the clasp in the right direction to avoid the diamonds flipping.
It's fine to wear diamond tennis jewelry daily. However, regular use without consistent cleaning can lead to the accumulation of dirt, causing the diamonds to sparkle less. Wearing the jewelry with other pieces increases the likelihood of scratches on the metal, which is a natural result of jewelry wear and tear.
